Boardwalk is lightweight which means it is easier to work with. It has fantastic noise reduction qualities and can reduce impact noise by up to 27 db. With its hydrofoil water vapour barrier it holds out the moisture in your sub floor, however it is advised that you buy the vapour tape to reduce any chance of moisture getting through the joins in the underlay. All this combined with the fact it has excellent insulation qualities and gives a softer feel under foot makes this underlay a brilliant option for wood or laminate especially locking systems.
